DESCRIPTION

From the centre of Sarmizegetusa village, the trail goes towards Caransebeș and turns left at the edge of the village on a paved road by the Zamolxe pension. After 1km straight forward, you go into a small forest and then turn left over the hill. You must follow the most visible road to the uncovered area under the mountain. From here, you can climb the hill on the left, with an antenna on it, and enjoy the viewpoint of the Haţeg Region, Poiana Ruscă, and Retezat Mountains. The trail then goes back and continues to ascend slowly. Then after an intersection, you turn left and descend towards the valley. From here you follow the valley for a couple of kilometers until you reach Hobiţa-Grădiște village. Then you follow the main road to Sarmizegetusa
