This trail is perfect for the first visit to Haţeg Country or a relaxing one-day tour. Starting from Haţeg you go west towards the village called General Berthelot, here you can see the mansion where the French general lived, today it is a research center of the Romanian Academy. Very close, on the other side of the road, you can visit the House of Science and Art, created by the Haţeg Country UNESCO Global Geopark.
The trail then goes towards Densuș village, passing through Fărcădin and Tuștea. In Densuș you can visit the most interesting medieval church in Romania, then you go back towards the east and pass through Hăţăgel and Totești. In Totești you turn left on the national road and after half of a km you turn right towards Reea, then you pass through Nălaţi Vad, by the ruins of the Fay castle and return to Haţeg.
