Grădiştea Muncelului – Cioclovina Natural Park is a protected natural area, with the purpose to protect and conserve species and habitats important for flora, fauna, forestry, hidrology, geology, speology, palaeonthology or pedology.
The park is meant to manage in a sustainable way the natural resources, to conserve the landscape and local traditions, as well as to encourage tourism based on these values.
